Air travel is easier and less stressful if you plan in advance- here are some tips:
PassportsEvery passenger, including infants and children requires a passport valid for international travel. In addition to a passport, citizens of certain countries (including Ukraine) require a, Visa to enter the foreign countries. Plan your packingTo avoid any delays or disruptions to your travel plans, it is recommended that you:
Airport SecurityAfter check you check in, go immediately through security because there may be long queues and flights won’t wait for you. As you approach the security check remove your coat or jacket; take your laptop and liquids out of your hand bag for separate screening and be prepared to remove your shoes and belt if requested. Your hand baggage will be checked by security staff using x-ray machinery. If you have film material over 1000 ASA or are fitted with a heart pacemaker please inform the security screening staff. Hand Baggage RulesIf you are travelling from or via an EU airport there are restrictions on the amount of liquids you may take through the security check point- liquids, such as bottles of water, that are purchased after the security check, may be taken onboard. All liquid containers must be carried in a separate clear plastic, zip-top or re-sealable bag that does not exceed 20 cm x 20cm (8 inches x 8 inches) or equivalent to one litre capacity. Liquids must be held in individual containers not exceeding 100ml (approximately 3.5 fl. oz). Items must fit in the bag comfortably and the bag must be completely closed. At the airport security search, the plastic bag must be removed from the cabin baggage and x-ray screened separately. Do not take sharp objects in your hand baggage that will be confiscated at security. HealthYou should be familiar with the full range of health risks likely to be encountered at specific destinations and associated with different types of travel – from business, humanitarian and leisure travel to backpacking and adventure tours. You should protect your self against insect bites and remember to pack prescription medicines and any other items you need for your trip. |
